Bothasig is an affordable residential area situated just off the N1 freeway some 15 km north-east of Cape Town's city centre. It is known for its pretty Christmas lights.
It is easily accessible by bus or train.
Busses run through the centre of Bothasig every 30 minutes. Trains can be caught at Monte Vista Station, just outside Bothasig.
